Chanel Opens Its First "Maison de Beauté" in Paris

Chanel has made a bold move in the beauty world by launching a groundbreaking concept in Paris: a boutique entirely dedicated to its products and treatments. Named the "Maison de Beauté", this prestigious location is nestled in the elegant Passy district in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, at 1 Chaussée de la Muette. Spanning three levels and covering 180 square meters, this space marks a strategic milestone for Chanel’s Parfums Beauté division.

An Architectural Masterpiece

For this ambitious project, Chanel transformed a classic townhouse through two years of meticulous renovations, creating a space that mirrors the brand’s timeless and refined identity. The white façade adorned with zinc and slate reflects Parisian elegance, while the interior combines modernity with craftsmanship. Every detail—from materials to spatial design—embodies Chanel’s iconic aesthetic.

A Multisensory Journey

The "Maison de Beauté" is organized into three distinct areas:

  • Ground Floor: Dedicated to makeup and fragrances, this space allows visitors to explore and test products. The presentation is exceptional, with oversized versions of iconic products featured as decorative elements.

  • First Floor: A tribute to Chanel’s olfactory universe, this level showcases the full fragrance collection, including body care variations. It also includes a beauty and skincare treatment room.

  • Top Floor: Reserved for the most exclusive experiences, this level houses two high-end treatment cabins and a private salon. Services include the Grand Soin, a signature three-hour protocol combining facial care with body massages.

Design Rooted in Chanel’s DNA

The boutique stays true to Chanel’s visual identity, incorporating black, white, and gold to echo its iconic packaging. The brand’s signature tweed is subtly integrated into the furniture, while emblematic objects like the N°5 bottle and makeup palettes are reimagined as oversized sculptures. This architectural approach elegantly showcases the products within the space.

Signature Treatments for a Unique Experience

Beyond its product offerings, the "Maison de Beauté" provides exclusive treatments designed by Chanel’s protocols. Highlights include the "Fascia de Chanel", an innovative treatment targeting facial fascia to rejuvenate the skin, and "L’Allure de Chanel", a body massage crafted to energize and restore well-being.

An Ambitious Project for a Discerning Clientele

This initiative underscores Chanel’s ambition to solidify its position in the beauty sector. With global sales nearing $20 billion in 2023, the brand aims to offer an immersive experience at this new Parisian address, appealing to clients seeking refinement and exclusivity.

As Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s Creative Resources Director for Parfums Beauté, explains, "This space reflects Chanel’s singular spirit and embodies a very French vision of the decorative arts." This statement encapsulates the brand’s mission to make the "Maison de Beauté" a must-visit destination for beauty and elegance enthusiasts.

With this opening, Chanel expands its universe, offering more than a boutique—an artistic and sensory experience that remains faithful to the brand’s legendary heritage and creativity.
